01 / RUSKIN CONSTRUCTION / QUESNEL, BC
Johnston Street Bridge
Bringing drawings, field inspections, and quality records together on a bridge rehabilitation project.

MY ROLE / JULY 2026–PRESENT
Project Coordinator & Quality Control
I work with Ruskin Construction, the project’s prime contractor, supporting project coordination and quality control across six work areas. I perform direct QC for concrete repairs and civil works, alongside field inspections and review of subcontractor inspection and testing documentation across the other disciplines.
Six work areas. A coordinated quality approach.

06 / QUALITY CONTROL

Field inspections and review of precast inspection documentation.
Technical coordination & reporting
I prepare clear records that connect site observations, technical questions, and construction progress:
- Requests for information (RFIs): communicate field questions and request technical clarification.
- Non-conformance reports (NCRs): document departures from requirements and support corrective-action coordination.
- Site observations: record field conditions with measurements and photographic evidence.
- Quantity reports: calculate and document construction quantities from field measurements and supporting records.
- Daily QC reports: record inspections, site activities, and quality-control observations.
How site experience shapes my approach
Working across concrete, steel, civil works, and specialist trades gives me a practical understanding of how drawings and specifications translate into construction. I bring that perspective to clear detailing, constructability, and communication between site teams and consultants.
